TrustMAPP Release Notes 3.8.4

Published On: September 4, 2020Categories: Release Notes, News

On September 6, 2020, TrustMAPP will be upgrading the TrustMAPP platform to version 3.8.4.

Below are the items that will be included in this release. There are not a lot of large changes in this release as there are several new items in the works for future releases. As always, if you have any questions, please email us at support@trustmapp.com.

New Features

Task Type and Task Sub Type

We have created a new feature in TrustMAPP called “Task Type.” Each Task Type represents a high-level project theme that Infosec teams manage for remediation efforts. Each Task Type can have multiple Sub Task Types from which to select. Tasks can then be assigned those Task Types and Task Sub Types for teams to better organize remediation efforts.

For example, if an organization performed an assessment and found that the Asset Management domain was lacking maturity, the organization would review the TrustMAPP recommendation to implement an Enterprise Mobility Management solution. When creating the remediation tasks, they could select the Task Type: “Asset Inventories” and then the Sub Task Type: “End User/Mobile Assets” to better organize and “group” the tasks.

This is the first phase of our building out of the Task functionality so look for more changes in the future! If you have a request for a Task Type and/or Task Sub Type or feedback on this feature, please email support@trustmapp.com.

Clearer Date Field Labels

We changed “Date Begin” and “Date End” to “Response Date Begin” and “Response Date End” so that it is a little bit clearer that the date fields represent when the respondents are able to respond to the assessment vs. when the entire project (including remediation efforts) is taking place.
